What does the VCP do?

The VCP (Trade Union Federation for Professionals) is committed to strengthening the position of professionals working in sectors such as aviation, education, healthcare, public services, and law enforcement. The VCP participates in consultations with organizations such as the Social and Economic Council (SER), which advises the Dutch government and parliament on national policy.

The VCP actively advocates for:

  • Income and tax policy
  • Labor market policy – work-life balance
  • Labor law
  • Working conditions
  • Social policy and equal opportunities
  • Pensions and mobility
  • Social security – employee participation

How is the VCP different from VKP?

The VCP is a larger organization that represents the interests of all professionals at the national level. Unions such as VKP, VNV, NVLT, Unie and ACP, are all affiliated with the VCP.

In total, around 50 professional unions are members of the VCP.
