Support with job applications
A job interview does not come naturally or easily to everyone. Many KLM employees have not had to go through an application process since joining KLM. This is especially true if you have held the same position for many years, or if throughout your career you have more or less naturally moved from one role to another.
It is completely normal to feel uncertain when, after a long time, you suddenly have to apply for a job again—and you are certainly not alone. That is why VKP offers application coaching. Proper preparation can help take away much of this uncertainty. But even if you enter an interview full of confidence, it can still be very useful to ask us for feedback or to practice an interview together.
We help you create a fresh CV that truly shows who you are (nowadays, a simple list of education and work experience is no longer sufficient). Together, we look at what suits you and whether your CV aligns with the position you are applying for.
Our conversation mainly focuses on clarifying your motivation and highlighting your competencies, qualities, and talents. By using the STAR method, we can assess whether these match what is required for the new role.
We also discuss how you can contribute to—and align with—KLM’s strategy, and, not least, what your contribution will be to achieving the objectives of the KLM Compass.
An important thing to remember: a job application is a two-way introduction. It is just as important that you feel a connection with the department and colleagues you may be working with in the future, not only the other way around.
